We help partners design adaptation strategies grounded in local realities. This includes conducting comprehensive research on climate change, poverty, and food security ; facilitating access to appropriate and equitable climate finance ; and promoting locally-suited ecosystem-based adaptations.
We provide strategic leadership to strengthen governance frameworks. Our work includes drafting briefs for local authorities on socially inclusive as well as context-specific climate and security governance and analyzing institutional frameworks to enhance equity and resilience
We excel at translating evidence into policy action. Our team engages stakeholders across Africa to foster inclusive policy dialogues , synthesizes research into policy outputs , produces actionable policy briefs , and engages in high-level policy discussions on development cooperation.
We are committed to building local capacity. We design and lead participatory fieldwork , train data collection teams , facilitate workshops that empower communities to articulate climate risks , and develop knowledge-sharing products like case studies and documentaries. We also design and deliver lectures and training materials on knowledge brokering and climate data dissemination.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Our approach is rooted in partnership and adaptation. We combine deep regional expertise, participatory processes, and data-driven insights to co-create solutions that work for the specific context in which they are implemented.
We begin by conducting a comprehensive analysis of the governance and climate landscapes using robust research methodologies, including political economy analysis, stakeholder mapping, and climate vulnerability assessments. This phase is about listening to our partners and understanding the nuances of the local context.
Based on our assessment, we collaboratively develop strategies and interventions that are tailored to local contexts. This co-design process ensures ownership and relevance, integrating indigenous knowledge with technical expertise.
We facilitate inclusive dialogue across all stakeholders—from national ministries to local community groups—to build consensus and drive collective action. Our role is to be an honest broker, ensuring all voices are heard.
We support the implementation of strategies while embedding robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems. This allows us and our partners to track progress, demonstrate impact, and adapt our approach in real-time for long-term effectiveness.
