Governing Climate Mobility Project: This project involved extensive participatory
fieldwork in Ghana’s Yilo Krobo and Wa West districts to explore gendered adaptation
and climate migration. Our work facilitated workshops that empowered women to
articulate their specific climate risks and priorities and produced policy briefs for
NGOs and policymakers.
Adaptation at Scale in Semi-arid Regions (ASSAR) Project: As part of this
large-scale initiative, our team was instrumental in coordinating field activities for
researchers and leading the organization of local, national, and international
workshops. The project focused on developing research outreach events to ensure
findings reached communities and decision-makers
Digital Tools for Agriculture and Livelihoods (DigiTAL) Project: Our technical
experts designed and implemented communication tools for local research
dissemination. A key success was the production of a local Agriculture and Livelihood
Radio talk show , alongside blogs and videos, directly connecting researchers with
practitioners on the ground.
CLARE Programme - Migration Research & Media Collaborative: Our thematic
experts lead migration-focused research projects under this program. The work
focuses on bridging academic research and media outputs to enhance policy
relevance and public engagement on climate mobility
Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) Country Engagement: In
Ghana, we spearheaded the design and execution of activities to promote
gender-responsive and socially inclusive climate-resilient development. A major focus
is identifying opportunities to integrate gender equality into national and local policies
and facilitating access to equitable climate finance.
Strengthening Northern Borders Project: In partnership with the University of
Ghana and IOM, our researchers conducted critical research in border communities.
This involved perception surveys and focus group discussions that specifically
highlighted women's security and adaptation concerns , leading to briefs for local
authorities on inclusive climate and security governance.
Africa-EU Innovation Alliance for Water and Climate (AfriAlliance): As Project
Advisors, our team led proposal writing activities and designed the communication
strategy for the "Planning for Drought (P4D)" project. We played a key role in
stakeholder engagement and the facilitation of workshops at the local level.
FAO Indigenous Adaptation Project: As Regional Consultants for the FAO, our
experts conducted field visits across West and East Africa to document indigenous
Climate Change Adaptation mechanisms. This work involved reviewing the scientific
validity of local coping strategies and presenting the findings at the regional
headquarters in Ghana.
